맨 프럼 어스2: 홀로신 (The Man from Earth: Holocene, 2017)

10년만에 맨 프럼 어스의 후속작이 나왔다.

이전 블로그의 작성글을 살펴보니 1편을 2011년에 감상 (1편 리뷰)

영화의 시작은 감독의 메시지로 시작된다. (감독의 호소력 있는 인터뷰 영상이 영화 본 편 보다 더 인상 깊다.)

1편에서 좋은 소재를 어설프게 조리한 것이 아쉽다라는 생각을 남겼는데,

2편은 10년이라는 시간동안 늙어버린 1편의 주인공에 맞춘 억지스런 설정에 신선한 재료의 맛조차 찾을 수 없었다.

한가지 유지되고 있는 것은,

기독교와 맹신자를 향한 깊은 분노를 매너있게 표출하고 있다는 것.

개인적으로 하나님을 믿지만 교회는 믿지 않기 때문에 반감없이 즐길 수 있었다.

하나님을 믿는 사람에게는 그럭저럭 볼만한 종교영화지만, 교회를 믿는 사람들에게 있어서 이 영화는 적그리스도 영화다.

참고로 이 영화를 아직 보지 않았다면, 1편만 보는 것을 추천한다.
